Tonje Daffinrud
Ahead of the Grecotel Amirandes Ladies Open, Norway’s Tonje Daffinrud gets to know her way round this week’s official player’s hotel, the Amirandes Grecotel Exclusive Resort in Crete. The hotel features luxury facilities and includes a golf academy affiliated to this week’s venue, Crete Golf Club.
The golf academy features a putting and chipping green as well as plenty of space to practise your swing. The players this week will be able to use the facilities in preparation for the tournament. Last week’s Azores Ladies Open winner, Tonje Daffinrud spent the afternoon tuning her skills ahead of the Grecotel Amirandes Ladies Open. Tonje commented: “It’s great that you can hit all kind of shots, a great way to warm up and work on your technique for the tournament and the space has been used in a good way.”
Tonje also got a taste of the some of the other facilities, including the luxury spa, “The hotel is just amazing, being able to relax before the tournament and after your round is so good. I tried out the spa and that was so great…it’s a beautiful place.”
