Celebrity skiers in the Pro-Am

There will be a number of celebrities playing in the Pro-Am for the Association Suisse de Golf Ladies Open 2014 at Golfclub Gams Werdenberg on Thursday, 1st May.

Local Ladies European Tour professional Melanie Mätzler will play with Patrick Küng, a World Cup alpine ski racer from Switzerland. He specialises in the speed events of Downhill and Super G and made his World Cup debut at Wengen in 2009.

This season he competed in the Winter Olympics at Sochi, had five World Cup podium finishes, two of them victories, including the Lauberhorn downhill, earned third place in the Super G World Cup and finished 10th in the overall World Cup.

Also competing in the Pro-Am is the Swiss Olympic team manager Jean Gilli and Swiss downhill skier Marc Gisin, brother of Olympic gold medalist Dominique.
