German amateur Helen Briem conquered the rest of the field last week at the Montauban Ladies Open and now is searching for back-to-back wins.
The 18-year-old sensation is excited to play Panorama Golf and soak in the atmosphere of a new country.
“Last week’s celebration was going to an airport hotel and eating sushi before an early flight the next morning. But it was fun.
“I went home for a couple of days and am now rested and ready to take on a new week.”
The two-time PING Junior Solheim cup star admits that the course this week will present challenges but there are a few areas which will play to her strengths.
“This week the course is a bit like courses in the US, the balls can run off the greens and its tricky. It’s a difficult course but I’m ready for the challenge.
“There are a few holes where I can really wedge into the greens and be aggressive at the flags that will play to my strengths.”
After recent success including narrowly losing the LET’s Dormy Open Helsingborg in a playoff, Briem is hungry for more.
With fighting talk, the teenager admitted: “I’m always here for a win, I don’t come here to lose.”
Briem starts her back-to-back victory campaign alongside Czech favourite Tereza Kozelhuova and France’s Charlotte Liautier at 13:08pm local time Friday.
