Mireia Prat
The third edition of the Azores Ladies Open, which starts on the 4th October, features 55 players from 22 different countries, including Spain’s Mireia Prat, the current leader of the LETAS Order of Merit.
Mireia Prat, aged 23 from Barcelona, won her first title at the Ocho Golf Ladies Open in Galicia earlier this year. Prat is one to watch this week, along with a further seven players at the top of the Order of Merit; 3rd placed Nicole Broch arsen (Denmark), Chrisje De Vries (Netherlands) in fourth, Monica Christiansen (Denmark) 5th, Steffi Kirchmayr (Germany) placed 6th, Pamela Feggans (Scotland ) in eighth, Chloe Leurquin (Belgium) 9th and Linda Henriksson (Finland) in 10th position.
Italy’s Anna Rossi , the winner of the 2012 Azores Ladies Open, will attempt to win the title for the second time.
The LET Access Series consists of 14 tournaments in 2013 and the Azores Ladies Open will be the twelfth event of the season. At the end of the year the top five players will earn their status for the Ladies European Tour for the 2014 season.
