All to play for in season finale at Golf de La Largue

Sixty-three players will compete for the 20th title of the season, along with the opportunity to earn one of five LET cards and 15 places to the final stage of LET Tour School, as the Road to La Largue Final gets underway at Golf de La Largue in France, from the 4 – 6 October.

England’s Hayley Davis leads the LETAS Order of Merit by 3,255 points from Finland’s Sanna Nuutinen who will play in the LET Hero Indian Women’s Open this week. Davis holds an unassailable lead at the top of the ranking with no other players able to catch Davis, the Order of Merit title is already wrapped up.

That’s not the case for the remaining four LET cards at stake and the 15 spots to the final stage of the LET’s Tour School. With Nuutinen guaranteed her playing rights on the Ladies European Tour for next season, and also Manon de Roey, who currently lies in 6th place on the rankings, in the same position, a lot could change this week with 1.5 points to play for. The winner will collect 7,500 points, therefore mathematically anyone within the top 15 may sneak into those critical 5 spots.

Scotland’s Laura Murray made a big move with her win last week at the Rügenwalder Mühle Ladies Open. The 31-year-old moved up six spots to fourth and now just needs a solid finish this week to claim her place on next year’s Ladies European Tour.

Lucrezia Colombotto Rosso has not managed to record her first LETAS win this year, but with a really solid season the Italian has a secure hold on third place in the rankings with just over 2,000 points more than Murray.  

Spain’s Laura Gomez Ruiz will feel reasonably comfortable heading into this week, with a 2,622.17 point advantage over 7th placed Annelie Sjoholm of Sweden. The 23-year-old from Marbella has only missed one cut this season and will hope to continue her good form into the final event of the LETAS season.

There will be some frayed nerves during this week but in just a few day’s time all will be decided in the Road to La Largue Final and five players will be celebrating their move up to the Ladies European Tour for next season.
