Sandolo competed in two LETAS events: at the Terre Blanche Ladies Open, where she tied for second, as well as at the Dinard Ladies Open, where she tied for 33rd place. She has since recorded three top ten finishes on the main Ladies European Tour circuit including a tie for fifth at the recent Portugal Ladies Open as well as outright fifth place at the ABN AMRO Ladies Open in Holland.
Thanks to her rich vein of form, she looks set to regain her Ladies European Tour card for the 2011 season without returning to Qualifying School.
She was ranked 26th on the Henderson Money List following the Portugal Ladies Open and the top 80 players on the exemption ranking at the end of the season receive a full playing category for the following year.
“The LET Access was a very good warm up for me,” said the glamorous 33-year-old French-born Italian, who lives in Monaco. “It’s very well organised and we have some great players there. I didn’t really know what I was going to do so for me it was good practise and a good warm up before coming back on Tour and playing.
“It helped me to come back on Tour especially for the mental side, for my head, just to be competitive again and take the pace again and be up there and play and score.
“I don’t have my card on the LET so for me it’s a great help. I hope I’m going to get it back at the end of the year. It’s great for people that don’t have their card, like, me. It was just a fantastic warm up.”
Through her ranking on the Henderson Money List Sandolo has also secured her place at the Ricoh Women’s British Open at Royal Birkdale this summer. All in all, her preparation for the season couldn’t have been any better.
