Getting to Know Carolin Kauffmann

 

Germany’s Carolin Kauffmann is a new member for 2019 and plans to play in as many LET Access Series tournaments as she can. We get to know Carolin with a few quick questions…

 

Who is your favourite golfer?

 

I don’t really have one, I like to watch golf in general.

 

What’s your favourite club in your bag?


Putter 

  

Which is your favourite golf course?


 – In Germany :Golf und Landclub Koeln and Golfclub Berlin Wannsee 

– In Europe : Archerfield Golf 

 

What is the one thing you could not live without?


Friends and family 

 

What is your favourite food?

 

Any fruit 

 

Who do you most look up to?


My parents and my coach 

 

How would you spend your perfect day?


Sleep till around 8, then get up and have a nice breakfast outside in the sun. Afterwards go to the golf course and play 18 holes and practice for a few hours. Then go to the gym and get a quick workout in, and in the evening there should definitely be a barbecue with the whole family to make it perfect. 

 

Your favourite city?


I love my hometown Cologne, but if I had to chose a different city it would be Hamburg.

 

Describe yourself in one word?


Loyal.

 

What do you like doing besides playing golf?


Basically every other sport and most of the time I like to study the interesting subjects for university.


If you could travel anywhere where would you go?

 

Arctic and Antarctic to see some penguins and polar bears.

 

What is your most memorable sporting moment?


I played Tour School last year and I played with a girl whose mindset was just so different in a good way that it really got me thinking and inspired me.

 

What’s your best golfing tip for a beginner?


Enjoy yourself and try to not take it too serious, it is just a game.

 

Do you have any superstitions before a round?

 

No.

 

What’s in your golf bag besides golf balls and clubs?


A lucky charm from my sister, always something to eat, a little care package from my parents with sun lotion, scissors, plaster etc.  

 

What are your goals for 2019?


Play as many tournaments on the LET Access Series and to enjoy myself and see some new places while travelling.
