Elina Numennpaa
Finland’s Elina Numennpaa takes a one shot lead into the second round of the HLR Golf Academy Open after an opening 68, 3 under par, at Hillside Golf Club in Vihti, Finland on Friday.
The Finn will be closely pursued by fellow countrywoman Petra Salko, who recorded a 2 under par, 69, in difficult, wet conditions along with Iceland’s Valdis Jonsdottir and England’s Annabel Dimmock. Olafia Kristinsdottir, also from Iceland, scored a one under par, 70, to lie in fifth place on her own.
Five players, England’s Charlotte Thompson, Piti Martinez Bernal from Spain, Sweden’s Johanna Gustavsson, Finnish amateur Rosa Rantanen and Germany’s isi Gabsa all opened with an even par, 71, to be tied for 6th place.
The second round commences at 8.00am on Saturday morning.
