The Nordic swing continues on the LET Access Series this week as 81 players from 20 different countries tee up in the Larvik Ladies Open starting Tuesday at Larvik Golf Club in Norway.
This is the 11th stop of 15 events on the 2015 LET Access Series, which will come to a gripping conclusion at Stoke by Nayland in England in mid-October.
At that point, the leading five players on the order of merit will qualify to compete on the 2016 Ladies European Tour and the ranking is now taking shape with five events including the Larvik Ladies Open still to be played this year.
There are nine of the current top 10 players on the Order of Merit in the field this week and also eight LET Access Series tournament winners taking part, including last week’s champion, Olivia Cowan.
Cowan will be playing with her aim to qualify for the Ladies European Tour next season. The German player is hoping to extend her lead held over fellow countrywoman, Isi Gabsa, at the top of the LETAS Order of Merit. Gabsa misses this week’s event after travelling to the United States to compete in the LPGA Qualifying School in California.
Nineteen-year-old Gabsa finished in a tie for 28th place to advance to the second stage of the Tour School, which will be held after the final event on the LET Access Series, from the 22 – 25 October at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Florida.
Play will commence at 8.30am on Tuesday morning for the first round of the Larvik Ladies Open.
