Germany’s Isi Gabsa leads the field of 114 players from 20 countries that will contest the inaugural Böras Ladies Open in Sweden this week. The tournament gets under way from Friday to Sunday at Böras Golf Club.
The 19-year-old who hails from Munich, currently leads the LETAS ranking with 14252.50 points. Gabsa who will celebrate her 20th birthday on the 7th June, will be hoping for the best possible present with her third win of the season, after recording back-to-back wins in Sweden and Norway this May.
Gabsa will be joined in the field by fellow German, amateur Olivia Cowan, Scotland’s Michele Thomson and Oona Vartianen from Finland, who are all winners on the LET Access Series this season.
The large Swedish contingent of 61 players is joined by Johanna Gustavsson, the highest ranked Swede competing this week, currently lying in 16th place on the LETAS Order of Merit.
At the close of the 2015 LETAS season, the top five players on the 2015 Ranking will earn membership of the Ladies European Tour, while players in sixth to 20th positions will have the opportunity to progress to the final stage of Lalla Aicha Tour School for 2016.
