Sanna Nuutinen
Finland’s Saana Nuutinen takes a one shot lead into the final day of the Open Generali de Strasbourg at Golf de Strasbourg after a second round of 70, 2 under par and a seven par total, 137.
Nuutinen is being chased by fellow Finn, Oona Vartianen, who sits one shot behind the leader at 6 under par, alongside Eleanor Givens from England, and Frenchwomen Lucie Andre and 14-year-old amateur Pauline Roussin-Bouchard.
Andre has been in fine form this season, crediting a change in her swing to facilitate a gentle fade, giving her greater control in her long game. The 27-year-old has enjoyed a top ten finish on the LET in the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open, along with a tied 3rd place in the first Generali Ladies Tour event, the Open Generali de Dinard in April.
Her fellow countrywomen, Roussin-Bouchard, is ranked in the top 15 amateurs in France and will enjoy the experience of playing alongside Andre and Nuutinen in the final round.
England’s Kym Larratt (71) and Australian Bree Arthur (70) are tied in sixth place at five under par.
This is the final event on the 2015 Generali Ladies Tour, which forms part of the LET Access Series. Following the Open Generali de Strasbourg, three players will qualify for the Lacoste Ladies Open de France being played at Chantaco Golf Club in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Aquitaine, from September 24 – 27.
