In preparation for the Ribeira Sacra ” Patrimonio de la Humanidad ” International Ladies Open, which starts on the 29th April at Augas Santas Balneario & Golf Resort, the Tourism Board of the Ribeira Sacra together with the Monforte de Lemos organised an official reception for the players held by all the local authorities in the City Council.
The Mayor of Montforte de Lemos and all the regional authorities welcomed the 108 competitors from 25 different countries, to this beautiful area of Galicia with some local music and enjoyed showing the local culture of Galicia.
The players enjoyed a walk through the streets of the town centre, holding balloons from all the countries represented in the tournament. Following a countdown in the Escolapios Square, to mark the beginning of the tournament, the players let the balloons fly into the air.
Play at the Ribeira Sacra ” Patrimonio de la Humanidad ” International Ladies Open begins tomorrow at 9.00am.
