Heavy Rain Causes Delays In Sweden

The first round of the Onsjö Ladies Open was delayed after heavy rainfall during the morning, which made the golf course unplayable. Play resumed at 2.40pm with the afternoon wave commencing at 4.10pm, after a delay of 3 hours and 50 minutes. 

Sweden’s Lynn Carlsson took the early lead scoring an opening 69, 3 under par with Spain’s Maria Beautell two shots further back at 1 under, along with Emma Nilsson from Sweden, who still has three holes to complete in her opening round.

The first round will resume at 7.30am with 36 players still to complete their rounds.
