France’s Ariane Klotz has had a fantastic rookie season on LETAS and currently heads into the final event in eighth on the Order of Merit.
Helen Briem’s exceptional performance at the La Sella Open has meant the German is already exempt for the Ladies European Tour in 2025, resulting in the top eight on the Order of Merit by the end of this week earning their cards.
Klotz, who has played in every tournament this season, is hoping for a strong finish this week in Spain.
“I’m happy it’s the final week because the last month has been a lot but then this is it, this is the last chance.
“It’s another week on the road, a new place but obviously I’m thinking about the Order of Merit.
“You can’t escape it but I’m trying to keep my focus on my golf game, and I will approach this tournament like any other one and stay patient.”
Klotz has had an incredibly consistent season on tour and has made seven top 10 finishes, including three top fives.
“I think this week it is a fun course. It’s different to others that we’ve played. Its tight on the tee shots and it’s a cool design.”
The 26-year-old joined the tour later than most to prolong her education but has taken to the professional ranks well and learnt a lot this season.
“This year the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that I’m fiery and that doesn’t all work in my favour. So, emotion management is going to be key this week.
“Whatever happens this week, I’m very happy. I might say something different on Saturday, but I’ve had a good strong season.
“It’s my rookie year so I have to be happy.”
Klotz starts her final campaign for a 2025 LET card at 1:00pm alongside England’s Mimi Rhodes and Sweden’s Andrea Lignell.
