Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjall and England’s Megan Dennis are tied at the top on six-under-par heading into the final day of the Get Golfing Women’s Golf Championship.

It was another great day for Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjall, who started on 10. The LETAS Order of Merit leader got off to a hot start with a faultless front nine of three birdies.

Another birdie rolled in on the first before a bogey on the eighth became the only fault of the day.

“Today felt better. It was fun out there. When Ana had to sadly withdraw, we just carried on as normal. Playing with Nikki was a lot of fun.

Arwefjall is no stranger to being in the leading group and is excited to do it again.

“It’s always fun to go out in the leading group and see what we can do. I’ve won both ways, both chasing and leading. Wherever I end up I will be happy.

“I’ll be happy to see what I can do tomorrow.”

Arwefjall has had three wins on LETAS, two this year, but is yet to win outside her home country.

“It would be amazing to win here, it would be my first international professional win. It would mean so much, especially here where they are doing such a great job with making this tournament so special.”

England’s Megan Dennis had a fantastic day at the Club at Mill Green carding a 67 (-5) with seven birdies and two bogeys.

“It was great out here. It was windier than expected and I dealt with it great.

“I’m really enjoying this week. There’s a great atmosphere and I grew up playing some golf around here on the par three course, when it used to be called the tiger club, so it’s great to come back.”

“It’s probably been about 12 or 13 years since I’ve been back here. It’s great to come back and think about all the memories I had growing up.”

The Woburn Golf Club based player, currently sits 16th on the LETAS Order of Merit, 351.27 points away from the top seven cards.

“I’m excited to play in the final group. A win would mean the world, I’m sure it would be emotional.

“Everyone’s on the same race, trying to get an LET card. Everyone’s got it in the back of their mind and a win helps you to get over that line.”

Denmark’s Natacha Host Husted sits one stroke behind in third after two consistent rounds of 69 and 70.

“Honestly, right now I’m feeling good. I came off to a good start today. So, when things got shaky, I had wiggle room.

“Today’s conditions were tough. So, I’m happy with the score.”

Host Husted, who sits fourth in the LETAS Order of Merit, has had a fantastic first full season with three top 10s and a win at the PGA Championship Gothenburg.

“I would love to be in the leading group again. I like the pressure. I like knowing where I stand, especially heading into the last day. So that would be fun.

“A win here would be amazing. It would be hard to describe. The points are important to me right now. I’m trying to not focus on it but that’s what counts to me right now.”

English amateur Jessica Hall, Norway’s Karoline Lund and Austria’s Katharina Muehlbauer sit in tied fourth on three-under-par.

France’s Lucie Malchirand and Japan’s Maho Hayakawa finished seventh on two-under-par.

54 players made the cut which stood at +5 and will play the final round which starts at 8:00am with the leaders going out at 9:30am.
