ARWEFJALL EXCITED FOR TWO WEEK STRETCH IN ENGLAND

Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjall, the number one ranked player on the LETAS Order of Merit, is excited for a two week stretch in England.

Despite now sitting in the top spot, Arwefjall is not feeling the pressure and wants to enjoy the rest of her season on LETAS.

Speaking ahead of this week, Arwefjall said: “I’m super excited for this week. I took last week off just to practice and figure some stuff out which was nice.

“I got to see my dad who is my coach. We worked out some things and I’m excited to start to compete again.”

The LETAS Order of Merit is a tightly packed race. Germany’s Helen Briem, who won three tournaments this season consecutively, is only five points behind the Swede.

“Despite being currently number one I don’t feel the pressure. I don’t think about the Order of Merit too much.

“Helen’s only around five points behind. I like to focus on the tournament instead and take it one step at a time.”

Whilst Arwefjall has competed in England numerous times as an amateur, the three time LETAS champion is excited to be back as a professional.

“I’ve played the course now and its very nice. The front nine is tighter off the tee and the back course is more open.

“I’ve never actually gone into London to explore so I’m thinking of going between the events. I’m excited for that.

“My goals this week are to focus on my game, hit fairways, hit greens and have more solid contact of hitting good shots.”

Arwefjall tees it up at 13:10 local time on Friday alongside Netherland’s Nikki Hofstede and Isle of Man’s Ana Dawson.
