2024 Terre Blanche Ladies Open winner, Sweden’s Anna Magnusson returns to LETAS this week to play the PGA Championship Gothenburg on home soil.
The 29-year-old has played in a string of events on the LET and was successfully re-ranked after making consecutive cuts including a highest finish at the Ladies Italian Open of 24th.
Now Magnusson, who secured two previous wins on the Swedish Golf Tour in 2018 is excited to play closer to home with a week on the Ahlsell Nordic Golf Tour.
Speaking ahead of this week, Magnusson said: “It feels good to be back in Sweden and especially in Gothenburg where I used to spend a lot of time during the summers when I was younger.”
It’s a family affair for Magnusson this week who is enjoying having her mum, Maria on the bag.
“It’s always nice to play in Sweden and this week I look forward to spending some time with my mom when she’s caddying. I’m hoping it will be a good week.
“Last couple of weeks has been good on LET and I’ve been enjoying it every week.”
The PGA Championship Gothenburg takes place at Albatross GolfKlubb, a new venue for the tour and Magnusson.
“I’ve only played nine holes this morning and it was fun to see the course because I’ve never been here before.
“I liked it, and it was a good set up for the nine I played. We’ll see how the weather will be this week too; it looks a bit interesting”
Magnusson starts her title campaign at 13:34pm local time Thursday alongside last week’s winner Kajsa Arwefjall and England’s Jae Bowers.
