LETAS ANNOUNCES FINAL ADDITION TO 2022 SCHEDULE

The LET Access Series (LETAS) has today announced the final addition to the 2022 calendar – the Calatayud Ladies Open – which will be hosted at the Gambito Golf Club Calatayud in Spain.

A field of 120 players will compete for a prize fund of 40,000 EUR from October 12-14 with a Pro-Am taking place the day before competition starts on October 11.

The addition of the Calatayud Ladies Open means the LETAS calendar expands to 20 events with a total prize money of 890,000 EUR.

Gambito Golf Club Calatayud, which will host the event, is characterized by being a demanding course, with several holes close to 500 metres, and two of its lakes strategically located for a challenge to be present in all shots.

It is oriented towards the city of Calatayud, between mountains and unbeatable scenic beauty, with the castle of Ayud in the background and the Roman ruins of Bilbilis. The course is approved by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation.

Gambito Golf said: “We are delighted to be a part of the LETAS schedule this season and we are very much looking forward to welcoming all the players to this beautiful part of Spain and having this chance to showcase our golf course and our region.”

Ana Larraneta, Tour Director of LET Access Series, said: “We are very pleased to renew our collaboration with Gambito Golf and add this new event to the LETAS schedule. The Tour has seen massive growth in the past year giving players more opportunities to compete and gain experience before heading to the LET.”

LETAS will come to Spain for the third time this season as the Tour also collaborates with the local Santander Golf Tour for the events in Málaga and Burgos.

The Calatayud Ladies Open will be the penultimate event of the season before the Tour heads to Paris for the LETAS Grand Finale, which will be hosted from October 21–23 at the Paris International Golf Club.
