Swedes Karlsson and Deilbert lead in Ljungbyhed

Jessica Karlsson was joined in the lead by amateur Isabella Deilert after the second round of the Ljungbyhed Park PGA Ladies Open in Sweden on Thursday.

Both  Swedes were tied at level par 142 going into the final round, placed one stroke ahead of Ana Laranetta from Spain.

Playing in cool and overcast conditions, first-round leader Karlsson followed her opening round of 67 with a four over 75 which included two double bogeys, four bogeys and four birdies.

Meanwhile Deilbert followed her opening 66 with a two over 73, which included six bogeys against four bogeys.

Laranetta’s second round of 74 featured two birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey at the par-four 13th.

Amateurs Frida Gustafsson-Spang from Sweden and Pamela Pretswell of Scotland were tied for fourth place on three over par, with English LET rookie Anna Scott and Sweden’s Rebecca Sorensen a stroke further back in a share of sixth place.

Seven players will start the final round five shots off the lead and with a realistic possibility of challenging for the title.

They are Anjelika Hammar, Louise Kristersson, Cissi Wahlberg, Nanna Koerstz-Madsen, Anna Dahlberg Soderstrom, Laurette Maritz and Tamara Johns.

South African Monique Smit and Norwegian Cecilie Lundgreen who were well placed after the first round slipped down the leader board after second rounds of 80 and 82.
