Melodie Bourdy from France edged a stroke clear of Norwegian Cecilie Lundgreen after the second round of the Kristianstad Åhus Ladies Open on Friday.

Bourdy, the sister of European Tour star Gregory, added a second round of 74 to her opening 70 to finish on a total of level par 144 heading into the final round at Kristianstad Golf Club in Sweden.

Swede Viva Schlasberg finished in outright third place at two over. Meanwhile first round leader Anastasia Kostina from Russia had a round to forget as she added an 80 to her opening 69 slipping down the leader board into a share of 11th on five over par.

Bourdy gained the advantage despite having carded four bogeys against three birdies for her one over par round on a cloudy and windy day.

She bogeyed the first, birdied the fourth, dropped shots at the seventh and eighth and then picked up a stroke at the ninth for a two over par front nine.

The back nine was steadier with a single birdie at the 10th against a bogey at the par five 11th followed by seven straight pars.

A total of 37 players made the cut, which fell at 10 over par.
